Tijjani Reijnders could leave Manchester City before the window shuts, with Nottingham Forest and Galatasaray among the clubs interested. According to Nottingham Post, City have not ruled out a sale and Forest are keen on a £55m move.

Enzo Maresca declined to guarantee the midfielder will stay beyond this month. He said Reijnders is part of the group, that his job is to support players until they depart, and that he is pleased with the Dutchman’s performances and work since returning from holiday. At present, he said he is very happy with him.

The Dutchman is open to a switch to the City Ground after failing to secure regular starts since his £47m arrival from AC Milan. With Anderson and Rodri expected to anchor City’s midfield next season, he could face more time on the bench, whereas he would be central to Oliver Glasner’s plans.

He has already been linked with Atletico Madrid this summer, but the La Liga side moved on after a £60m valuation. City may consider a fee around five million pounds below that level, which would still deliver a profit on last summer’s outlay.

Forest have cash to invest after receiving £116m for Anderson and have hired Glasner following Vitor Pereira’s departure at the end of last season. They have been linked with several additions, with Ousmane Diomande the latest said to be closing in on a move to the City Ground.
