Tiquinho Soares rejects offers and looks set to stay with Santos in 2026

Tiquinho Soares, 35, looks set to remain at Santos in 2026 after turning down interest despite a dip in form.

According to Globo.com, the centre forward rejected offers from two clubs in the Brasileirão’s Série A, Coritiba and Remo, as well as two enquiries from abroad.

He intends to fight for a place under head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda. His contract runs until 31 December 2027 and he ended last year without stringing together a strong run of games.

Santos had considered a loan or an amicable termination, but those plans are not expected to advance. He remains an option for Vojvoda, who has yet to include him in official matches in 2026.

Tiquinho is treating an oedema in his left calf and is expected to be available soon. Last year he made 40 appearances and scored seven goals.
