According to Globo.com, TJD-SP will hear cases against Palmeiras head coach Abel Ferreira and Luighi following the Corinthians v Palmeiras Dérbi in the Campeonato Paulista.

Abel was sent off in the 35th minute of the second half for sarcastically clapping in protest after receiving an initial yellow card. He has been charged under article 258 § 2º, II of the Código Brasileiro de Justiça Desportiva for disrespecting the match officials, an offence carrying a ban of one to six games.

Luighi faces a charge for striking a Corinthians supporter with the ball during celebrations of Flaco López’s goal, which secured the 1-0 win. He has been cited under article 258 of the CBJD for conduct contrary to sporting discipline, with a suspension of one to six matches possible.

Andreas Pereira, who scuffed the penalty spot before Memphis Depay’s attempt in the Dérbi, has not been charged.

Palmeiras have also been cited under two articles over the mass brawl after López’s goal, with potential fines of R$ 20 thousand in one case and R$ 100 to R$ 100 thousand in another. Corinthians have been charged over the same incident, and ball boy Alessandro da Silva is accused of kicking Sosa during the melee.

The hearing is scheduled for next Tuesday.
