Brady's involvement with the Blues under Knighthead's ownership has been well-documented

Birmingham City have caught the attention of many football supporters across the world in the past two-and-a-half years, and a key reason for such feats is the involvement of NFL icon and seven-time Super Bowl winner, Tom Brady, on the board at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.

It was a huge relief for Blues fans when Tom Wagner completed his highly-anticipated takeover of the club in July 2023 after several uncertain and chaotic years under several far-east ownership consortiums.

However, it sent shockwaves through the Championship landscape when it was confirmed that Brady would be a part of Birmingham's future plans as a minority owner on August 3rd, 2023, just two days before their ridiculous 2023/24 campaign got underway.

With the NFL becoming extremely popular on this side of the Atlantic Ocean as several matches are broadcast season-upon-season by various rights holders, it has become the norm to hear the man who many sports fans perceive as the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time) offering his opinions as part of the commentary setup.

But, there was certainly a sense of intrigue as to how Brady would use his legendary status and winning mentality to help transform the culture of a club which had previously been down on its knees in a half-open and dilapidated St. Andrew's, especially with his stake not being anywhere near the majority owned by Wagner and other members of the newly-formed board formed by Knighthead Capital's frontman.

However, it has been made clear for all to see just how much of an inspirational figure the 48-year-old has become in the West Midlands, and that has, in no small part, been achieved through the documentation of the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons on an Amazon Prime series.

With that being said, Football League World have looked at how much of the club Brady is said to currently own, as Birmingham set their sights on a first return to the Premier League since May 2011.

At the time of Knighthead's initial takeover of Blues, it was confirmed that Wagner had completed a transaction which saw him own 45.98 percent of the club, as well as taking full control of the club's home, St. Andrew's.

Less than a month later, it was confirmed that Brady would take on the role of advisory board chairman, whilst the rest of the B9 board is made up of Matthew Alvarez, Andrew Shanahan, Kyle Kneisly, Laura Torrado, CEO Jeremy Dale and honorary vice-president, Mike Wiseman.

After Brady's new role with Birmingham was confirmed, Wagner was quick to outline what his partner and well-known sporting icon would bring to the table, stating: "Tom Brady joining the Birmingham City team is a statement of intent. We are setting the bar at world class.

"Tom is both investing [as well as] committing his time and extensive expertise.

"As chair of the advisory board Tom will have a direct impact on the club. The men's, women's, and academy teams are going to benefit from [his] knowledge," Wagner added.

"The goal that Tom has committed to is to make Birmingham City a respected leader in nutrition, health, wellness, and recovery across the world of football."

Knighthead would then complete a full takeover of the club in November 2025, with it being reported that the business' affiliate company would own 96.94 percent of Birmingham City Limited, whilst it has been widely reported that Brady owns just 3.3 percent of the club through his aforementioned role.

As previously mentioned, the Amazon Prime series titled 'Built In Birmingham: Brady and The Blues' showcased how involved and passionate Brady is about developments in B9, which saw the club achieve a record-breaking League One title-winning season last term under Chris Davies, as they now look to make the step-up to the Premier League.

Brady is known to have a strong influence in attracting players to the club, as was recently stated by £7m buy, Carlos Vicente, who joined from Deportivo Alaves.

His influence is also expected to help NFL games be housed in the Second City in the years to come, with the club's upcoming 62,000-seater Powerhouse stadium projected to have opened by the beginning of the 2030/31 season.
