Departing Real Madrid star Toni Kroos has on Saturday moved to send a message of support to Barcelona counterpart Pedri.
As much, of course, comes owing to the former’s part in Pedri picking up yet another injury late last night.
Mere minutes into the Euro 2024 showdown between Germany and Spain, Kroos upended Pedri in unceremonious fashion in the middle of the park.
The challenge left the Barcelona man grounded and in evident pain, ultimately forced to limp out of the matchup as a result.
Ensuing reports point towards Pedri as facing up to a spell of at least a month on the sidelines, ruling him out of the remainder of Spain’s Euros campaign.
And, in the knowledge of as much, the man responsible has made sure to send a message of apology the way of the engine room starlet.
As part of his farewell to the game on the back of Germany’s elimination from their home tournament, Toni Kroos unveiled the following across his social media platforms:
“This is still very important to me: apologies and get well soon, Pedri! Logically it wasn’t my intention to hurt you. A speedy recovery and all the best. You are a great player.”
