A raucous 90 minutes saw rivals Torino and Juventus fight for every yard in a 1-1 draw in the Derby della Mole at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
Scorers: Vlašić 45+1; Yıldız 8'
A storied rivalry across the top flight of Italian football, bragging rights were ultimately shared while match proceedings were marred by a moment of sheer drama.
Turkish international starlet Kenan Yıldız gifted La Vecchia Signora an early 1-0 lead in the 8th minute with an expertly taken finish from 20 yards out to set the Serie A giants away.
Despite the early deficit, Torino banked more created chances than their rivals across the opening 45 minutes and finally capitalised on that in stoppage time thanks to Croatian midfielder Nikola Vlašić, who pulled the scoreline back to parity with a ferocious strike that glanced in off the post.
Match proceedings would eventually descend into madness, however, when both Thiago Motta and Paolo Vanoli were sent off after tensions erupted midway through the second half.
This followed in the wake of earlier clashes during the first half as the two rivals often failed to let cooler heads prevail.
Torino ended the night on the front foot and pushed for a late winner in the final minutes of stoppage time, but ultimately, both sides were good value for a point each.
With that, Torino remain 11th in the table on 22 points while Juventus now sit 3 points off Lazio in the fight for fourth with a match in hand.
