As Wolves prepare for a summer of change after relegation, Toti set out next season’s aim: “Everything is already being worked on and, without a doubt, the club will try to do everything possible in this market and the next market that opens, to start pre-season well and have a good league campaign next year”. He told DAZN Portugal.
“The goal is to bring Wolves back as quickly as possible to the big stage.”
Wolves are expected to be busy, with several players tipped to leave. Joao Gomes has been heavily linked with Atletico Madrid, while Toti Gomes, signed from Estoril in 2020, has now passed 100 appearances.
By contrast, goalkeeper Jose Sa hinted he could be on the move, saying: “Of course I will miss some people at the club. Five years are not five days.” His exit has been mooted previously.
Sa, recently named in Portugal’s World Cup squad, added: “Obviously, it is always difficult to go onto the pitch when you already know you are going to be relegated, but we always have to give our maximum to finish well at least, to think about the World Cup and next season, because that always gives you strength.”
