Thomas Frank’s future at Tottenham Hotspur appears in serious danger after the shock 2-1 loss to West Ham United on Saturday.
According to journalist Miguel Delaney, Tottenham were debating whether to retain Frank for the Borussia Dortmund Champions League game on Tuesday.
The club’s board are expected to hold further meetings on Sunday as they consider the Dane’s future.
Tottenham wanted to be more patient with Frank, given the incomplete football infrastructure and the many of his best attackers missing.
However, the atmosphere at the club turned toxic after the West Ham defeat.
Tottenham supporters turned on Frank after Callum Wilson bundled home a stoppage-time winner for West Ham.
Fans chanted ‘sacked in the morning’ at their own manager.
The latest defeat leaves them 14th in the Premier League table with 27 points. They crashed out of the FA Cup after losing 2-1 to Aston Villa last Saturday.
The two clubs were charged with misconduct by the Football Association (FA) after the players from both teams engaged in a mass brawl after the match.
Tottenham will host Dortmund on Tuesday before facing Burnley at Turf Moor.
They subsequently visit Eintracht Frankfurt before taking on Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
