Tottenham Hotspur have completed their fourth signing of the winter transfer window with the arrival of Julie Blakstad from Hammarby.
The 24-year-old is the third transfer from the Swedish league following the arrivals of Hannah Wijk and Matilda Nildén in recent days. Blakstad's contract with Hammarby had expired allowing Spurs to recruit the midfielder for free.
"This is such a great Club, I’m so excited to start," the Norwegian said on her return to the WSL.
"This is a club with ambitions, I know both the players and staff have high ambitions, which I really like. They focus on development, which is really important for me, and I’ve always said I want to play against the best players as often as I can. I can’t wait to meet everyone in the team."
Blakstad had previously played Rosenborg before joining Manchester City where she played 20 games for the Citizens, scoring three times.
Martin Ho's side are back in action on January 11th when they host Leicester City before facing the Foxes again in the FA Cup.
