Tottenham fan groups oppose Roberto De Zerbi over Greenwood stance | OneFootball

Several Tottenham supporter groups have opposed Roberto De Zerbi being linked with the manager’s job, citing his defence of Mason Greenwood at OM.

According to L'Équipe, the Italian has kept a low profile since leaving OM in February, and his name has been mentioned among candidates to succeed Igor Tudor at Tottenham.

On Friday, three Spurs groups, Proud Lilywhites, Women of the Lane and Spurs Reach, circulated a statement titled "No to De Zerbi".

De Zerbi is criticised for backing Greenwood at OM as the forward was emerging from his domestic violence case.

Women of the Lane said the episode raised serious questions about his judgement and leadership.

Proud Lilywhites said they are proud of progress in making football more inclusive and welcoming, and that such progress is essential and should not be compromised or pushed aside.
