In a recent report, The Mirror stated that Tottenham Hotspur are facing stiff competition for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott. It has been mentioned that Spurs would have to compete with Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea in the race to sign the English talent this off-season.

Scott’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

Scott enjoyed a good run of form at the English club in the previous campaign after he produced a run of solid performances at the heart of their midfield. The 22-year-old made 39 appearances for Bournemouth last season, scoring four times and securing one assist in the process on all fronts.

The English sensation is currently among the most talented central midfielders in Premier League football. Thus, it is no wonder that Spurs are in the running to land him in this transfer period.

His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Tottenham to snap him up on the cheap later this year.

Scott loves a tackle and can read the danger well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is an accurate distributor of the ball as well.

The English midfield ace is full of energy and running in the middle of the park and can contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. Scott mainly operates as a box-to-box midfielder but can also play in the number ten position or as a right-sided wide player if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham.

Scott would bring more quality and depth to Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi’s midfield. He is capable of challenging for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.

At 22, the future looks quite bright for Scott as long as he continues to improve with each year. He would be well worth the fight, so Tottenham would be wise to step up their efforts to sign him later this year.
