Tottenham Hotspur may compete with Manchester United for Leeds United star Karl Darlow and his Wolverhampton Wanderers counterpart Sam Johnstone, according to The Athletic.
Darlow is set to become a free agent at the end of this month. The 35-year-old made 22 Premier League appearances last season and could be a perfect option for Tottenham.
He forced his way into the Leeds team and could fancy his chances of becoming Spurs’ first-choice.
However, it is unclear whether Tottenham will make a concrete move for the Whites star.
Leeds want to keep Darlow and are expected to offer him a new deal, but moving elsewhere could appeal to him. He will not be short of suitors this summer.
Johnstone will look to continue his career in the Premier League following Wolverhampton Wanderers’ relegation.
The 33-year-old last played for England in 2023, and he could still be harbouring the thoughts of playing for them again.
Johnstone needs to remain in the Premier League for that to happen, and a move to Tottenham could be an option.
He has two years left on his Wolves contract, but should be available for a decent fee if he looks to move on.
The former West Bromwich Albion star has extensive Premier League experience, which Spurs could do with as they look to challenge for a top-six finish next season.
