Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi as the Cherries are in talks to sign a potential replacement.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club are planning to hold talks with the representatives of the Frenchman again and Bournemouth are expected to demand at least £90 million.

Kroupi is open to joining Spurs and the North London club believe getting a deal done is very possible.

It appears the Cherries are preparing for life without the 20-year-old and are in advanced talks to sign Elche forward Alvaro Rodriguez, with the 21-year-old Real Madrid academy graduate nearing a five-year deal.

Rodriguez and Kroupi play in the same position and Bournemouth are unlikely to be looking to have both players in their squad next season.

Spurs will be monitoring the situation but they are not the only ones interested in recruiting his services.

He bagged 13 goals in 33 Premier League games last term and has also been linked with Arsenal.

The Tottenham target broke the Premier League record for most goals scored by a teenager in his debut season and could be a perfect cover and competition for Dominic Solanke.

Kroupi can also play as a winger and could be perfect to replace Richarlison, who has been linked with a summer exit.

Spurs have strengthened at the back and in midfield so far this summer and are now set to move to attack.
