Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence wasted no time riling up Arsenal fans following Saturday’s Champions League final.

Arsenal defeated Spurs 4-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in February, and the Gunners took to social media to post a clip of their players marking out the Tottenham star.

Spence waited for the right moment to get back at the Emirates Stadium club, quoting the post with a reply following their defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the elite European competition tonight.

Arsenal took the lead through Kai Havertz very early in the game but a second-half penalty from Ousmane Dembele forced the game into extra-time.

The match had to be decided by penalties following a 1-1 draw at the end of 120 minutes, and PSG won 4-3.

Arsenal were unlucky not to win and they could have had a penalty in extra-time following a foul on Noni Madueke.

However, the referee was not convinced, eventually booking Declan Rice and Mikel Arteta for dissent.

They will now look to go one better in the Champions League next season and also retain their Premier League title after ending their 22-year wait.

The Gunners reached the final of the competition in 2006, losing to Barcelona, before getting this far again after 20 years.

2025-26 will be regarded as a successful season for Arsenal despite coming short in the other three competitions, and Spurs will hope to challenge them next term.

The Lilywhites narrowly escaped relegation, with a win over Everton on the last day of the Premier League campaign ensuring their safety.

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi is eyeing a possible squad overhaul in the summer transfer window, and he needs quality players capable of getting the club to challenge for major trophies.
