Team News

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs have received a timely and significant boost ahead of the London derby against Chelsea. Manager Thomas Frank confirmed that captain Cristian Romero (adductor), Destiny Udogie (knee), and Wilson Odobert (side strain) are all fit. All three players have been declared available for the squad.

However, the team’s injury list remains extensive. Radu Dragusin, Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, and Archie Gray are all unavailable. Furthermore, Dominic Solanke, Dejan Kulusevski, Kota Takai, and Ben Davies are also still ruled out.

Chelsea

Chelsea have also received positive news on the injury front. Enzo Maresca confirmed that Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Joao Pedro are all fit and available for the trip to Tottenham.

However, the Blues will still be without several key players. Cole Palmer (groin), Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, and Dario Essugo are all sidelined with injuries. Additionally, striker Liam Delap is unavailable as he serves a suspension.

Form

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs’ recent league form has been inconsistent, with just one win in their last five games. Consequently, they have taken only one point from their last three home league matches. This home form is a significant concern for manager Thomas Frank. The team also suffered a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, adding to their difficult run.

Chelsea

Chelsea, who currently sit ninth, have struggled for consistency in the league. For instance, they lost their last match 2-1 at home to Sunderland. However, their away form has recently been strong. In fact, the Blues have won their last three consecutive matches on the road. Their 4-3 cup win over Wolves in midweek will also provide a welcome confidence boost.

Predicted Lineups

Tottenham Hotspur predicted XI: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bentancur, Palhinha; Kudus, Bergvall, Simons; Kolo Muani

Chelsea predicted XI: Sanchez; James, Fofana, Chalobah, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Neto, Santos, Garnacho; Pedro
