Maghnes Akliouche has quickly emerged as one of the most sought-after players as the summer transfer window nears its close, attracting serious interest from PSG and Manchester City after a breakout season with AS Monaco. The 23-year-old has cemented his place among Ligue 1’s brightest talents, and a move abroad now looks increasingly likely.

Back in May, 90min France reported that City and PSG had intensified their pursuit, with Monaco valuing the midfielder at around €70 million. Pep Guardiola is said to admire Akliouche’s left-footed creativity and versatility, viewing him as a potential long-term successor to Bernardo Silva.

Elsewhere, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg noted that Bayer Leverkusen still see Akliouche as a dream signing, though their chances appear slim given the price tag and competition. With Manchester City firmly in the race, Plettenberg added that the Frenchman is one of the key names to watch as Deadline Day draws near.

L’Equipe reported Wednesday that Akliouche, who scored in Monaco’s 3-1 win over Le Havre on Saturday, will remain with the club. With each passing day, the likelihood of him staying in the Principality for another season continues to rise.

Recently, The Independent reported that Tottenham are eyeing Akliouche as a more affordable option to Savinho, with Manchester City setting a £70 million price tag for the 21-year-old. Monaco, meanwhile, value their attacking midfielder at £47.5 million.
