Tough loss for Chivas against Tigres

San Nicolás, N.L.- Although Chivas controlled large stretches of the match and created several scoring chances, a lack of finishing, combined with defensive mistakes this afternoon, led to a painful 4-1 defeat against Tigres at the Estadio Universitario, in Matchday 14 action of the Clausura 2026. The good news is that, no matter what happens, el Rebaño will remain at the top of the Liga MX standings with 31 points.

Guadalajara must now put this result behind them and focus on their next match, which will take place on Saturday the 18th, when they host Puebla at the Estadio AKRON.

Goals:

The home side opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Juan Brunetta, who appeared in the box to tap in a ball delivered from the right flank.
WHAT A GOAL BY ‘DANI’! El Rebaño equalized in the 25th minute, when ‘Cotorro’ sent a cross to the edge of the box, where Daniel Aguirre struck it first-time with a powerful shot across goal, beating Nahuel Guzmán.
Rodrigo Aguirre restored the lead for UANL in the 41st minute, heading home a cross at the far post.
Just after the restart, Ángel Correa scored the third to extend Tigres’ advantage.
In the 79th minute, Juan Brunetta found space inside the box and headed the ball home to seal the result.
