According to reliable Egyptian sources, the management of Al Ahly of Cairo, led by Mahmoud El-Khatib, has officially kicked off negotiations with several players in a bid to strengthen the squad with new talents who can bring real added value in the upcoming window.

As reported by Egyptian outlet FilGoal, the Cairo club's officials have started talks with Palestinian international midfielder Hamed Hamdan and his club Petrojet, following his recent appearance with the Palestinian national team at the 2025 Arab Cup.

Available information indicates that Al Ahly is preparing to table a financial offer higher than the one previously made by Zamalek SC, which is believed to have been around 420,000 US dollars.

With this move, the capital club aims to swiftly close the Hamdan deal, hoping to outpace their fierce rivals and prevent them from securing the player's signature.

Youssef Belammari, a top priority for Al Ahly

Al Ahly's transfer ambitions don't stop with the Palestinian midfielder. The club has also entered direct negotiations with Youssef Belammari, the Raja Casablanca defender, who has emerged as a major target for the upcoming transfer market.

Again according to the same source, the Moroccan player is edging closer to a move to Al Ahly, particularly due to stalled talks over an extension to his current contract, which expires at the end of this season. This situation is pushing the Moroccan club to consider a sale to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

An internal source at Al Ahly has confirmed that club management has sent an official offer of $500,000, payable in two installments, and is now awaiting the final answer from Raja Casablanca's directors.
