A report from Turkey suddenly linked Jamal Musiala to Galatasaray. However, there appears to be no truth to the rumors of a loan move for the attacking star. FC Bayern continues to firmly count on the 23-year-old.

The speculation was sparked earlier this week by the Turkish newspaper Hürriyet, which reported on a possible loan deal between the Munich club and the top Süper Lig club.

Following the German national team’s early exit from the World Cup, Musiala underwent routine surgery about two and a half weeks ago. “This procedure is part of the normal medical protocol following his serious injury last summer and had long been scheduled for the period after the tournament in North America,” FC Bayern announced. Thanks to the procedure, Musiala will be able to “complete preseason training according to a clearly structured plan,” the club added.
