Trio nominated for Team of the Season | OneFootball

The vote for the Bundesliga’s Team of the Season – presented by EA SPORTS – is open until 27 April, with fans playing an important role in the ballot.

Who has stood out in the Bundesliga in 2024/25? Using official Bundesliga match data, a select group of 42 players have been nominated for the Team of the Season vote. Hugo Ekitiké, Nathaniel Brown and Rasmus Kristensen are the three Eagles stars to have made the shortlist, which has been announced with four games of the campaign left to play.

Eintracht trio nominated

With 14 goals and five assists, Ekitiké has registered 19 goal involvements in 29 Bundesliga appearances so far this term. The 22-year-old has further underlined his goal threat with 102 attempts, four of which have hit the woodwork – a joint Bundesliga-high along with Florian Wirtz, Serge Gnabry and Patrick Wimmer.

Brown, meanwhile, has been nominated for the Bundesliga’s Rookie of the Month on three occasions this season, winning the award twice. Since joining Eintracht from second-division 1. FC Nürnberg before the start of the campaign, the 21-year-old wideman has registered three goals and five assists in 22 top-flight appearances.

The Danish dynamite in Eintracht’s defence, Kristensen also joined the Eagles last summer. The 27-year-old has racked up two goals and three assists, and has also hit the woodwork on three occasions. The all-action defender has won an average of 8.4 challenges per game this term, as well as averaging 63.9 intensive runs per 90 minutes.

The jury which decides the best XI is split into three groups, with fans having a particularly big say. The votes of all 18 team captains and those of a panel of experts featuring Bundesliga legends and selected media partners are each weighted at 30 percent, while supporters’ votes count for 40 percent.
