Olympique Lyonnais have only two nominees for the Trophées UNFP 2025-2026, head coach Paulo Fonseca and goalkeeper Dominik Greif, while OL Lyonnes have four. According to Le Progres, the UNFP has revealed the season's shortlists.
The ceremony is scheduled for 11 May at the Palais Brogniart in Paris. Fonseca is up for best coach alongside Luis Enrique of PSG, Pierre Sage of Lens, Bruno Genesio of Lille and Olivier Pantaloni of Lorient.
Greif is shortlisted for best goalkeeper after an impressive first season at OL. He is listed with Robin Risser of Lens, Brice Samba of Rennes, Mike Penders of Strasbourg and Hervé Koffi of Angers.
Corentin Tolisso does not feature among the Ligue 1 best player nominees. That list includes three PSG players, Ousmane Dembélé, Vitinha and Nuno Mendes, plus Lens's Florian Thauvin and Marseille's Mason Greenwood.
There is no Lyon player in the best young player category either, despite Afonso Moreira's standout campaign. The nominees are PSG's Désiré Doué, Joao Neves and Warre Zaïre-Emery, Lille's Ayyoub Bouaddi and Strasbourg's Valentin Barco.
OL Lyonnes are stronger represented in the women's awards. Christiane Endler is up for best goalkeeper, Lily Yohannes for best young player, and Tabitha Chawinga and Melchie Dumornay for best D1 player.
Former Lyon player Rayan Cherki, now at Manchester City, is nominated for best French player abroad.
