Martin Adeline (22) was one of the architects of ESTAC Troyes’ successful Ligue 2 campaign, which ended with them securing their promotion back to the top flight of French football. However, the attacking midfielder is not expected to play in Ligue 1 next season. Instead, he is set for a transfer to Germany, as per a report from L’Équipe.
Whilst the deal is not yet fully completed, talks between Troyes and Hamburg are now at a very advanced stage. The attacking midfielder’s deal with L’ESTAC was set to expire at the end of next season. Troyes are set to pocket €6m in the deal, L’Équipe understands.
Adeline excelled for the City Group-owned club last season. In 36 games in all competitions, he scored an impressive 11 goals and registered a further 11 assists. His exit will be a blow for Troyes, who have also lost another attacking player in the form of Mathys Detourbet, who has joined partner club Manchester City, before being loaned to AS Monaco.
