Midtjylland coach Mike Tullberg spoke at a press conference following the defeat against Roma in Matchday 5 of the group stage.

Tullberg was asked about a possible moment of tension with Paulo Dybala. His response was blunt: “I have no comment on that.”

Regarding Roma, the coach acknowledged the Giallorossi’s great value: “Given the lineup Roma showed up with tonight, and considering Napoli as well, it seems to me they have respect for us. Roma can be one of the possible winners of the Europa League,” Tullberg said, highlighting the strength of the Roman side.

Midtjylland tried to push in the final minutes to find an equalizer, and Tullberg explained that the team chose to increase the pressure: “In the second half, we pressed more, and 2-0 was a shame. The goal came because we pushed harder.”

The Danish coach also analyzed the strengths on the pitch: “There’s no doubt that Roma are playing better and better week after week,” said Tullberg.

“The fact that they fielded so many starters made it clear that they fear us. It was a very intense match. The difference is that when Roma have the ball, they move it faster and forward, while we struggled with that.”

Finally, Tullberg discussed the impact of the early goal: “The first goal came out of nowhere. From the 25th minute onwards, we played better, and even better in the second half.” Despite the difficult start, his team improved their play as the match progressed.
