A pair of on-loan Barcelona players will be hopeful of making the difference for Elche in their meeting with Real Madrid this evening.

This comes amid confirmation that both Iñaki Peña and Héctor Fort have been afforded starting berths for the fixture.

Shot-stopper Peña will take his place between the posts at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero, for his 7th La Liga appearance of the campaign.

Youngster Fort, meanwhile, who has struggled for game time since linking up with Elche owing to a combination of fitness problems and competition for places, will slot in at right-back against Real Madrid.

The coaching staff at Barcelona will no doubt be keeping a close eye on developments over the coming hours in Alicante.

Following their dominant victory over Athletic Club on Saturday, the Blaugrana have joined arch rivals Real atop the Spanish top-flight table, with 31 points secured from 13 fixtures to date.
