Inter Milan head coach Cristian Chivu will reportedly experiment with his team against Sassuolo, with captain Lautaro Martinez returning and goalkeeper Josep Martinez set for a chance in goal.
According to reports from the Gazzetta dello Sport this afternoon, Inter’s captain is fully fit and available for selection against Sassuolo.
The Argentine forward missed the midweek win over Ajax due to back pain.
He also played just 45 minutes in last weekend’s Derby d’Italia defeat to Juventus.
Chivu gave Youngster Francesco Pio Esposito an opportunity in the captain’s absence.
However, the Argentine will return to the XI this weekend.
Inter welcome Sassuolo to San Siro tomorrow afternoon, kick-off due at 20:45 local time.

With his captain back available, it is an easy choice for Lautaro Martinez to slot back into the line-up.
Meanwhile, the reports also claim that Chivu will hand Josep Martinez a chance in goal.
The Spanish keeper’s name has filled the press in recent weeks.
Fans and media alike have raised question marks over current shot-stopper Yann Sommer.
The Swiss international was poor against Juventus last weekend.
However, he recovered some form with a solid clean sheet against Ajax in Amsterdam.
Now, Chivu is ready to put his faith in Martinez after showing he will not bow to demands of fans who called for Sommer to be dropped after the derby.
The Spaniard joined the Nerazzurri last summer but has only played ten times in all competitions.
