Birmingham City have been told to move the pair on this summer

The Birmingham City duo of Dion Sanderson and Tyler Roberts have recently been linked with a move abroad this summer.
Both players spent time away from St. Andrew’s on loan last term, with Sanderson at Blackburn Rovers where he would make 12 appearances, ultimately culminating in the East Lancashire outfit declining an option to make the move permanent.
Roberts endured a tough spell with Northampton Town, managing just one goal in 29 appearances for the Cobblers.
The pair were excluded from Blues’ pre-season tour, which signalled Chris Davies’ intent to offload them both this summer.
Sanderson and Roberts have both been the subjects of interest from overseas clubs but no "concrete" offers are yet to come in for them, as per GiveMeSport.
Football League World’s Birmingham City fan pundit, Jason Moore, believes that moving both players on as soon as possible is the best move for all parties.
“When they both came in, they seemed like they could do the job,” stated Jason. “But in short, they're not good enough.
“If they don't move on for the good of their careers, they're going to rot at the club.
“I don't think anyone wants that. I don't think they're going to train with the first-team squad. I think they will be left to train with the U21s, as bad as that is for them.
“It is what it is. Tyler Roberts was banished last season very quickly. Hence why he went to Northampton, which shows how far he's fallen.
“Dion Sanderson started last season poorly and quickly showed that he wasn't good enough, lost his place to Christoph Klarer and he just never had another look in.
“But it doesn't matter where it is, abroad, in England, for the good of their career, I fully expect them to be leaving Blues this summer.
“They need to leave.”
Last season saw Sanderson and Roberts lose their places in the Birmingham City fold, before failing to impress on their respective loan deals.
Without dropping majorly down the EFL, a switch across the continent may now be the pair’s most attractive avenue.
It would allow them to regain their confidence in a new, challenging environment that would be a complete reset from the troubles English football has presented over the past couple of years.
A move abroad would allow Birmingham City to permanently offload the pair and provide the duo with a new lease of life elsewhere, which makes it a perfect outcome for both parties.
