Castelló is setting up two giant screens for Spain’s 2026 World Cup final against Argentina on Sunday at 21.00, in Plaza Mayor and at the SOM Festival concert site beside the Real Club Náutico de Castelló, according to El Periódico Mediterráneo.

Each venue can hold around 5,000 people. Plaza Mayor will also have 600 chairs, with entry subject to capacity.

The build-up in the square starts at 19.00 with music and entertainment, aiming to create a shared celebration as seen before the semi-final against France.

A special security operation will be in place, with Local Police managing entry checks and barriers guiding access and circulation.

There will be three entry points, at Plaza de la Hierba, Calle Arcipreste Balaguer and the corner of Plaza de la Pescadería, and the Pasaje de Participación Ciudadana will be closed.

Medical stations will be available, and the council urges fans to arrive early and follow staff and police instructions.

Fans heading to the SOM Festival site in the Grao can use public transport, with TRAM hours extended for arrivals and returns.

Using two locations splits the crowd between city centre and the maritime district, after Plaza Mayor reached capacity for Spain’s last match, while other towns planning screenings include Burriana, Vila-real, Almenara, Xilxes, Onda, Vall d’Alba, la Vall d’Uixó, Nules, Les Coves de Vinromà, Torreblanca, Alcossebre, Alcalà de Xivert, Càlig, Vinaròs and Oropesa del Mar.
