As one of the few big name players Chelsea might be willing to sell and might actually make money on this summer, Nicolas Jackson is bound to pick up a lot of attention from transfer rumours this summer.
In fact, the process is already underway. Recent days have seen him linked with West Ham and Newcastle, although we pointed out our doubts that the striker would drop down to that level.
The Sun’s reports today are a little more convincing. They say that Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are also chasing the striker, currently on loan at Bayern Munich.
Either of them would have to qualify for the Champions League – firstly to attract Jackson, who will want to keep playing at that level, and secondly to have the funds to sign him. Chelsea are going to want something like €60m or more to let him go.
It’s also not impossible that our new manager, whoever they may be, convincing Jackson to stay with us.
Matt Law accused Chelsea’s “selfish” players of ruining their own season with petty behaviour over the course of the last few months.
Millie Bright has just announced her retirement from football after struggling to recover from an ankle injury picked up earlier in the season.
