Southampton winger Tyler Dibling is now training away from the first team after they rejected transfer approaches from Everton, according to the Sun.
Everton want to bring the 19-year-old to the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer, but all three of their bids have been knocked back.
Southampton manager Will Still has now decided that Dibling should not be part of first-team training.
The teenage sensation, who wants to join the Toffees, is now working with a small group of players doing only fitness work, and he is expected to leave in the coming weeks.
However, Everton manager David Moyes is already looking elsewhere.
The Merseyside club want to sign Manchester City winger Jack Grealish on loan for the season, and talks are believed to be ongoing between both clubs.
Southampton made a counter-offer to Everton after their latest bid worth in the region of £40 million.
The Saints returned with a proposal of £45m plus £5m in easily achievable bonuses and a 25 per cent sell-on clause, but the Toffees insisted they were not keen on doing business on those terms.
Keeping him away from first-team preparations ahead of the Championship opener against Wrexham on Saturday suggests a deal could still be done.
Everton have signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea today. He has become their fifth summer signing after Charly Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, Mark Travers and Adam Aznou.
Moyes wants a winger, and Dibling fits the bill after his impressive campaign in his first Premier League season last term. He could prove to be a better long-term option than Grealish.
