Tyrique George joins Everton after Benfica link | OneFootball

Tyrique George, previously on Benfica’s radar, has left Chelsea for Everton on the final day of the January window, filling a gap in the Toffees’ squad.

A Bola reports that the 19-year-old has moved on loan until the end of the season, with a summer purchase clause, and that Benfica dropped their interest with Dodi Lukebakio nearing a return.

Regarded as a promising Premier League talent, George has already had meaningful first team opportunities at Chelsea. He is a regular in England under-20 squads.

He also attracted another Premier League suitor but chose the club from Liverpool and will hope to play more minutes.

This season he has 11 appearances for Chelsea, four in the Premier League, four in the Champions League and three in the EFL Cup. Across 492 minutes, he has three goals and one assist. He is valued at €22 million.
