Burkina Faso returns to the U17 World Cup fourteen years after their last appearance. They have been drawn in Group I alongside the United States, Czechia, and Tajikistan.

Overview of Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso will be making their fifth appearance at the finals after 1999, 2001, 2009, and 2011. The young Stallions finished third in the 2001 edition.

To book their spot in these finals, Lookman Tapsoba and his teammates reached the semi-finals of the 2025 U17 AFCON. They lost the semi-final to Mali (2-1) and then fell to Côte d’Ivoire (2-1) in the third-place match.
