Germany had to come from behind to beat Austria and France battled to beat Iceland in UEFA Women’s Nations League match day two.

Group A1: Germany 4-1 Austria, Scotland 1-2 Netherlands

Annabel Schasching struck three minutes in for Austria away to Germany but Laura Freigang had levelled before the break, assisted by Rebecca Knaak. Linda Daalman completed the turnaround ten minutes into the second half, Giovanna Hoffmann then giving Germany a two-goal cushion and Vivien Endemann adding a fourth goal.

Emma Lawton had Scotland ahead at the break against the Netherlands but the Dutch struck twice in ten second-half minutes through Lineth Beerensteyn and Chasity Grant to take all three points.

Group A2: Norway 2-1 Switzerland, France 3-2 Iceland

Elisabeth Terland scored a 75th-minute opener for Norway against Switzerland, who equalised through Sydney Joy Schertenleib, only for Caroline Graham Hansen to restore the lead with three minutes remaining.

France eventually saw off Iceland 3-2. Kadidiatou Diani and Mare-Antoinette Katoto scored before Karólína Vilhjálmsdóttir halved the deficit, Sandy Baltimore made it 3-1 but Ingibjörg Sigurðardóttir quickly hit back with a quarter of the match left.

Group A4: Italy 1-3 Denmark, Wales 1-1 Sweden

Filippa Angeldahl slotted Sweden ahead against Wales after 14 minutes but a similar time from the end, Kayleigh Barton blasted home a penalty to earn a draw.

Denmark’s Emma Færge gave them a second-half advantage in Italy but the home side replied five minutes later through Michela Cambiaghi. Sara Holmgaard got the Danes back in front and Janni Thomsen sealed the win in stoppage-time.

Group B1: Romania 0-1 Poland, Northern Ireland 3-2 Bosnia-Herzegovina

Brenna McPartlan headed Northern Ireland in front before Bosnia-Herzegovina hit back with Emina Ekic’s solo effort and Marija Milinkovic’s strike from distance. The drama was not over though, as Simone Magill bagged a very late brace for the hosts.

Poland made the breakthrough against Romania’s ten players six minutes from the end of the 90, Natalia Padilla-Bidas with the goal. The hosts had lost Ioana Bălăceanu to a second caution after the hour mark.

Group B2: Türkiye 1-0 Greece, Slovenia 4-0 Republic of Ireland

Slovenia sent Ireland to a 4-0 defeat, helped by two goals from Lara Prasnikar. Elif Keskin’s first-half goal was sufficient for Türkiye to see off Greece and make it two wins from two.

Group B3: Hungary 0-1 Finland, Serbia 0-0 Belarus

Eva Nyström fired Finland in front from a seventh-minute penalty, which ended up proving decisive. Serbia and Belarus played out a goalless draw.

Group B4: Czechia 5-1 Albania, Ukraine 2-1 Croatia

Czechia came from behind to record a big win over Albania, Katerina Svitková and Eva Bartoňová each bagging a brace. Yana Kotyk had Ukraine ahead against Croatia in the first minute on the way to a 2-1 victory.

Group C1: Slovakia 1-0 Moldova, Gibraltar 0-1 Faroe Islands

Slovakia clinched all three points against Moldova with an 85th-minute decider from Dominika Škorvánková, while Heidi Sevdal was Faroe Islands’ matchwinner in Gibraltar.

Group C2: Cyprus 2-1 Georgia, Malta 1-0 Andorra

Cyprus’s 2-1 win over Georgia was set up by a Antri Violari double, her first in the opening minute. Malta edged Andorra with Shona Zammit’s early goal.

Group C3: Armenia 2-0 Kazakhstan, Luxembourg vs Liechtenstein

Armenia scored in either half to defeat Kazakhstan, Luxembourg had six different scorers as they sunk Liechtenstein 7-0.

Group C4: Montenegro 3-1 Lithuania

Armisa Kuč hit a hat-trick for Montenegro in their 3-1 defeat of Lithuania,

Group C5: Israel 3-1 Estonia

Goals before and soon after the break set Israel on the way to a 3-1 result against Estonia.

Group C6: Kosovo 0-1 Latvia

Viktorija Zaičikova got the only goal as Latvia won away to Kosovo.
