Since INEOS have come onboard, Manchester United have been extra active when it comes to trying and unearth the next hidden gem.
Leny Yoro is already a bonafide first team star, while the likes of Sekou Kone, and Chido Obi, just to name a few are also looking like they will eventually make it to the top.
The co-owners have already agreed a pre-agreement with Cristian Orozco, and have been scouting Argentine U17 World Cup hero Felipe Esquivel.
Now, as per French journalist François Rauzy, the Red Devils are keeping tabs on French wonderkids Jeremy Jacquet and Mohamed Kader Meite.
However, they are not alone and United will need to get a move on if they are to edge ahead of the chasing pack.
“A ManUtd scout present for Jacquet and Meïté at Jean Bouin against the PFC (Paris FC),” the reporter wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“But as things stand for these two players, it’ll soon be more relevant to name the big European clubs that aren’t scouting them rather than the other way around.”
Yoro knows both of them well from his exploits with the France U21 national team, and it seems the 20-time English league champions are also impressed.
Jacquet is an imposing centre-back, and is already a regular for the Stade Rennais side, having started all 12 Ligue 1 matches this term. At 20, he is ready for the next step in his career.
As for Mohamed Kader Meite, he is only 18 but already has four goals and two assists for Stade Rennais, including a match-winning display against Olympique Lyonnais earlier this season.
Maybe Yoro can put in a good word with his French U21 teammates to ensure United ultimately win the race.
It is clear from the interest the duo are generating that United cannot afford to wait for too long if they are actually serious about winning the transfer race.
