According to O Jogo, Utrecht’s city council has demanded that FC Porto’s SAD pay €121,197.77 for damage to eight buses used by travelling supporters during a Europa League visit.
Mayor Sharon Dijksma has sent a registered letter to the club’s board. She said those responsible should compensate transport company Pouw Vervoer, urging the club to help identify all involved or, failing that, to settle the costs itself.
The 6 November incident left broken windows, ruined seats, destroyed air conditioning ducts and damage to roof openings.
Dijksma said drivers felt extremely threatened and went through a traumatic night, and she described the behaviour as unacceptable.
At the time, 73 people travelling on one bus were detained, while passengers on the other seven vehicles were not identified.
