Valencia CF begin Girona pre-season camp with four signings | OneFootball

Valencia CF have arrived in Girona to start the second phase of pre-season at the Royalverd Training Center.

Carlos Corberán has travelled with four completed signings, Guido Rodríguez, Aliou Dieng, Justin de Haas and Ryunosuke Sato, plus Stole Dimitrievski's renewal, according to Superdeporte.

Training starts on Tuesday with two confirmed absences, Baptiste Santamaría and Cenk Özkacar. Santamaría is in Thessaloniki to sign for PAOK. Özkacar accepts he is not in Corberán's plans and will stay at Paterna to seek a solution.

Dani Raba, though not in the manager's plans, is expected to travel. Javi Guerra joins up after a permitted late return following Spain duty before the World Cup. Nine academy players bolster the group.

The Girona camp ends on Saturday 18 with a first run-out against Angolan champions Atlético Petróleos de Luanda, behind closed doors at Royalverd.

Valencia then return to Paterna for friendlies against CD Eldense on 22 July and CD Castellón on 25 July, both at the Estadio Antonio Puchades.

From 27 July to 1 August they train at St George’s Park in the United Kingdom, meeting Derby County FC on 28 July behind closed doors and Stoke City on 1 August at the Bet 365 Stadium in Stoke-on-Trent.

Pre-season finishes with the Trofeu Taronja at Mestalla against Newcastle United FC on Saturday 8 August at 21:00. Corberán aims to reach the LaLiga opener against Betis at Mestalla on 15-16 August in the best possible shape.
