Valencia CF expect Renzo Saravia to arrive on Saturday for a medical and to sign a deal running to 30 June 2026.

According to Superdeporte, Carlos Corberán will not consider him for the match against Villarreal CF, though a Sunday trip to La Cerámica to watch his new team-mates is not ruled out.

He is due to be confirmed as a Valencia player in the coming hours, strengthening right-back after Dimitri Foulquier's injury. The plan is to double up in that area and give Corberán more options.

Alongside first-choice Thierry Rendall, Corberán also views Unai Núñez as a '2' and Luis Rioja as a potential wing-back in a back five.

His adaptation is not seen as an issue, with compatriots Guido Rodríguez and Lucas Beltrán around him. The former West Ham man also overlapped with Saravia for Argentina, who has seven caps.

Match sharpness could be the main concern, as he has not played an official game for two months. He joins outside the window as a free agent after leaving Atlético Mineiro, returning to Europe at 32 after a brief Porto spell.
