Valencia have moved for FC Volendam goalkeeper Kayne van Oevelen, with an in-principle five-year agreement in place to 30 June 2031, Voetbal International reports.
With the player's approval, the next step is to strike a deal with Volendam for a transfer fee between two and three million euros.
The 22-year-old is Valencia's first-choice target to reinforce the position as back-up to Stole Dimitrievski this summer. After the departure of Julen Agirrezabala and with Cristian Rivero on the way out, Raúl Jiménez from the reserves would be the third keeper.
Valencia have been tracking van Oevelen, who stands at 1.99 m, as part of a shortlist compiled by their recruitment team.
He fits the brief of a young goalkeeper to compete with Dimitrievski without immediate pressure to start while adapting to LaLiga. He has made 33 Eredivisie appearances and, at his age, would qualify for an under-23 registration.
