According to Superdeporte, Valencia see eight deals expire today, four permanent and four loans: Thierry Rendall, Renzo Saravia, Eray Cömert, Guido Rodríguez, plus Julen Agirrezabala, Unai Núñez, Largie Ramazani and Lucas Beltrán.
Thierry’s seven-year spell ends after injuries restricted him to 160 official games.
Cömert, with Switzerland at the World Cup, faces an uncertain future. He is not 100% ruled out, but is not among the first options at right-sided centre-back.
Signed from Basel in winter 2021/22, he later went on loan to Nantes and Valladolid. This season he played 21 times in league and Copa del Rey, for 1,729 minutes.
Guido Rodríguez’s renewal is advanced. The winter signing from West Ham was key for Carlos Corberán, with 16 league outings and one in the Copa.
Saravia arrived free in late February to replace the injured Dimitri Foulquier and featured in five matches. His future lies away from Mestalla, either an Arab league or a return to Argentina.
Agirrezabala returns to Athletic after injuries disrupted his second half of the season. Núñez goes back to Celta, Ramazani to Leeds and Beltrán to Fiorentina.
Núñez could come back onto Valencia’s radar despite a costly wage. Ramazani is a stronger candidate, with Ron Gourley in talks with Leeds, who are waiting for a satisfactory sale. Ramazani is not in Daniel Farke’s plans.
