Valencia have reversed course on a permanent deal for Leeds United loanee Largie Ramazani after his season at Mestalla. Diario AS reports that the La Liga club have closed the door for now, citing dissatisfaction with the Belgium Under-21 international’s attitude in the final weeks.

The 25-year-old dropped down Daniel Farke’s pecking order last year, then spent 2025-26 on loan, making 31 appearances in all competitions.

After a slow start in Spain, he found form in January, scoring six goals in the next 12 games. That uptick prompted suggestions Valencia could consider a permanent move despite a reluctance to buy loanees.

He then lost his place for the final four league matches after starting the previous 11. He was deemed not to have followed tactical instructions, drawing a warning from coaches and a reprimand from senior players. Days later he posted a photo of himself playing golf.

Talks had been held with Leeds over a transfer, but those plans are now on hold and might be revisited. Leeds could have pocketed an eight-figure fee from a sale. Norwich City have also been credited with an interest, and this is a clear sign the club must cash in this window.
