Real Madrid faced off against Albacete in the Copa del Rey earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result on the road. Los Blancos made a decent start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 42nd minute when Javi Villar found the back of the net. Franco Mastantuono equalised for Real Madrid in injury time as the two teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Jefre Betancor gave Albacete the lead in the 82nd minute, but Gonzalo Garcia equalised for the visitors in injury time. However, Betancor scored the winning goal in the dying embers of the contest as Real Madrid ended up suffering a tough 3-2 loss away from home.

CM: Federico Valverde – 7.5/10

Valverde worked his socks off at the centre of the park and was a good presence on the ball.

CM: Jorge Cestero – 6/10

He struggled to get a foothold in the game and put in a lackluster display in the middle of the park.

CM: Arda Guler – 6.5/10

Guler engineered a few good chances for others around him but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.

RW: Franco Mastantuono – 6.5/10

He took his goal well in the latter stages of the first half, but was a bit careless with the ball at his feet.

ST: Gonzalo Garcia – 7.5/10

LW: Vinicius Junior – 6.5/10

He got himself into some dangerous areas in the final third but failed to make a difference tonight.
