Shaqueel van Persie has extended his Feyenoord contract. The 18-year-old player from Feyenoord’s Academy has reached an agreement to extend his expiring contract until the summer of 2028.
Similarly following in the footsteps of his father Robin, Shaqueel van Persie continues his development through the Rotterdam ranks. He is now in his eighth season as a player of Feyenoord Academy.
The attacker, who previously also played in the youth academies of Manchester City and Fenerbahçe, is part of the Under 19 selection this season, which is led by trainers Davey van den Berg, Ulrich van Gobbel and Ibrahim Afellay.
In words to the club’s official website, it was clear that the young striker was pleased with his new deal:
“It makes me feel proud that I can wear the Feyenoord shirt for the coming seasons. I feel a lot of confidence from the club and I work hard every day at Varkenoord to achieve my goals.”
