Vander Iacovino has left his role as Corinthians futsal manager after nearly one year. He posted a farewell message on social media thanking the club and colleagues.

According to Meu Timao, his exit stems from cuts in parts of the social club departments to reduce the wage bill.

During his tenure, Corinthians finished runners-up in three competitions, the Supercopa Gramado de Futsal, the Campeonato Paulista and the Liga Nacional de Futsal. The team also won the Taça São Paulo and the Torneo Mucho Más in Spain in 2025.

Since 2024, Iacovino has focused on sports management, serving as executive director of the CBFS Brazilian Futsal Championship in its inaugural year. At Corinthians he worked alongside futsal supervisor Bruno Vanço.

Corinthians are reshaping their futsal operation for 2026, with significant cost reductions. Several key players departed last season, including fixo Marlon, ala Luisinho and club idol Deives, who retired. For the next campaign, the club will contest the Supercopa Gramado, the Paulista and the 2026 LNF, and it is still seeking to host the Copa Libertadores in the face of strong competition from Carlos Barbosa.
