Vasco keep talks with Colo-Colo after counteroffer for Alan Saldivia | OneFootball

Vasco are continuing negotiations with Colo-Colo over Alan Saldivia after lodging a second loan proposal with a purchase clause and receiving a counteroffer.

According to Globo.com, the Chilean club initially pushed for a straight sale, while Vasco are not pursuing that route for now, and Saldivia is said to view a move to Brazilian football favourably.

Talks are ongoing on Sunday, with Uruguayan agent Marco Vanzini mediating, and the clubs still discussing the percentage of the 23-year-old’s economic rights.

Coach Diniz is an admirer of Saldivia, and at his request the board have tracked the defender since August last year. Negotiations were revived at the start of last week.

Vasco view Saldivia as a useful addition for 2026 as they reshape their defence amid the imminent departures of Maurício Lemos, through contract termination, and Lucas Oliveira to Mirassol. They are due to open the Campeonato Carioca on 15 at home to Maricá.
