Vasco loan GB to Chaves until June 2027 | OneFootball

Vasco confirmed on Thursday that 21-year-old centre-forward GB has joined Portuguese side Chaves on loan until June 2027. The club view the switch as a key chance for the youngster to gain international experience, and the end date matches his contract expiry with the Rio outfit.

GB had been sent to Fortaleza at the start of the year to build minutes, but the stint fell well short of expectations. He played only three times in the state championship and had not been named in matchday squads since early April.

With limited game time and outside the plans of Vasco’s current coaching staff, a move to Portuguese football was deemed the most suitable path.

Since stepping up from Vasco’s academy, the striker has scored three goals in 28 senior appearances.

Last year he was handed notable opportunities under Fernando Diniz, competing for places up front with Rayan and Vegetti.
