Carlos Augusto is set to commit his long-term future to Inter Milan, with talks over a new contract progressing quickly.

According to Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri are close to reaching an agreement with the Brazilian full-back’s agent Giuseppe Riso.

Indeed, both parties are optimistic of finalising a deal in the coming weeks.

The proposed renewal would see Carlos Augusto extend his stay at San Siro until 2030, with an annual salary worth around €3 million.

He has already given his approval to the deal, reaffirming his desire to remain in Milan.
