Versatile Brazil International Says No To Premier League As Inter Milan Move Towards New Deal Worth €3M A Year

Carlos Augusto is set to commit his long-term future to Inter Milan, with talks over a new contract progressing quickly.
According to Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri are close to reaching an agreement with the Brazilian full-back’s agent Giuseppe Riso.
Indeed, both parties are optimistic of finalising a deal in the coming weeks.
The proposed renewal would see Carlos Augusto extend his stay at San Siro until 2030, with an annual salary worth around €3 million.
He has already given his approval to the deal, reaffirming his desire to remain in Milan.

This comes despite interest from Premier League clubs last summer.
The former Monza man was was named Man of the Match in the midweek Champions League win over Kairat Almaty.
Indeed, he has become a key figure under Cristian Chivu, praised for his versatility and consistency.
As per the report, while several English sides had made inquiries during the previous transfer window, discussions never progressed.
Therefore, the player making it clear that his priority was to continue his development at Inter.
