Stuttgarter Nachrichten reports VfB Stuttgart are nearing the trigger of a €20m buy option for Morocco international Bilal El Khannouss, who is on loan.
The clause, attached to his loan last summer, depended on a set number of appearances. With that threshold essentially reached, the option will be exercised.

He will sign a contract at the MHP Arena until 2030, and the agreement contains no buy option.
Before the Africa Cup of Nations and a brief dip, the 21-year-old was among Stuttgart’s standout performers.
Across 30 games under Sebastian Hoeneß, he has eight goals and six assists.
Since returning from AFCON he has yet to rediscover that form, while Deniz Undav and Jamie Leweling have carried the attack.
