Victor Luís ‘to leave’ Vasco for Mirassol amid left-back reshuffle

Vasco have arranged left-back Victor Luís’s exit to Mirassol, and he will travel in the coming days to report to the São Paulo club. His Vasco contract runs until the end of 2027.

Competition at left-back has intensified this window. Beyond first-choice Lucas Piton, the club have signed Cuiabano, formerly of Botafogo and Nottingham Forest.

Vasco have also put in place a pre-contract with Paulinho of América-MG, who is set to join mid-year as another squad option.

As a result, Victor Luís fell out of the coaching staff’s plans.

He has been overtaken as Piton’s deputy by youngster João Victor Mutano, a forward by trade who has been used at left-back.
