Chelsea lead against Wolves! It’s the least they deserve after dominating the game so far at Stamford Bridge.

It only took 5 minutes after half time for the Blues to find another gear, and it was Alejandro Garnacho who produced the bit of quality the team needed. He took on his full back down the line, then chopped back onto his right foot to drop in an in-swinging cross to the far post.
Malo Gusto had timed his run perfectly to arrive onside and head it in – and even if he hadn’t been there, Pedro Neto was just behind to make sure. In his 90th appearance for the Blues, Gusto has his first senior career goal. The reaction from Enzo Maresca and his teammates shows that they were all waiting for the popular Frenchman to break his duck.

The Blues can’t get complacent now, however. They’ve dropped 8 points from winning positions this season, and this can’t be a repeat of that. We want a second goal and some calm confident defending. This team will win nothing unless they show they can control and kill games when they’re leading.
Chelsea were booed off at half time in this game, after a first half where they disappointed in terms of intensity and risk taking. This goal should help them win the crowd back – but they can’t let any points slip here.
Before the game tonight, Enzo Maresca spoke a little about how he was hoping that the return of Liam Delap to the starting lineup would help with the attack in general.
