Manchester United escaped defeat with last minute equaliser against Tottenham Hotspur drawing 2-2 in Premier League encounter on Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
United took the lead in the 32 minute through Bryan Mbeumo who continues to haunt Spurs netting his fifth career goal against them.
But late strikes from Mathys Tel (84) & Richarlison (90) appeared to hand the home side victory before Matthijs de Ligt rescued point for the visitors in the 96 minute.
The result leaves both teams level on 18 point with Tottenham sitting third on goal difference and United seventh as they await the remainder of matchweek 11 results.
United head coach Ruben Amorim praised his side’s spirit but admitted frustration after surrendering control in the second half.
"We felt the three point were in our hands" Amorim told TNT Sports. "After losing Maguire and Casemiro, we conceded twice but fought back. When you can’t win, you must not lose and we did that again"
The Portuguese manager highlighted lapses in pressing & composure:
"We didn’t press with the same intensity. We got too comfortable but if we’d been braver, we’d have killed the match. Sometimes you dominate the first half and then lose rhythm in the second"
Amorim also confirmed an injury concern for striker Benjamin Sesko saying the club "will wait for final tests" and praised goalkeeper Senne Lammens for his "excellent mentality" despite nervy spell.
United return to action on 24 November against Everton at Old Trafford while Spurs travel to face Brighton.
