It is a return to Paradise for the Bhoys on Saturday afternoon for the first time since mid-March as we welcome St Mirren to the East End of Glasgow.

Martin O’Neill’s side were back in action last weekend following the international break, running out 2-1 winners at Dens Park over Dundee.

And now they are looking forward to being back at home, eyeing up three points in their final league fixture before the split.

Speaking to the media ahead of the match, Viljami Sinisalo spoke about recently taking up the number one spot between the sticks.

The shot-stopper is enjoying his regular role in the side, insisting that he hopes he can just continue improving.

He said: “I think for any player really, it’s about the more you play the better you get. I’d like to think that’s the case for me as well.

“Especially as a goalkeeper because it’s about distances, confidence and you can only build that up when you are playing.

‘So I definitely think that has helped. Hopefully, I can keep doing that and get better as the games go on, that’s got to be the aim.’

With St Mirren next up for the Hoops, the goalkeeper said he is expecting to face a bit of a changed Buddies side, who are now under new management.

The 24-year-old believes the Bhoys will need to be at their best as they look to head into the split in a positive manner

“They have changed a little bit,” he said. “They’re a little bit more of a possession-based side from what I’ve seen.

‘They like to pass the ball a little bit more than they maybe previously had done.’

“So we’re expecting a tough challenge. They obviously have a lot to play for at the other end of the league.

“That obviously brings another side to it. You get a lot of these games where they have a lot to fight for, which they definitely do and so do we.

“So, we’re expecting a tough game. Full respect to St Mirren and hopefully we can go and present good quality, and our personality in the game, which will hopefully help us go and get three points."
